Welcome to the New World Dog Federation Institutional Website

A new digital home for international cynology, science, knowledge and cooperation

The World Dog Federation is proud to welcome you to its new institutional website, a completely renewed digital platform created to represent the identity, international vision and continuous development of our Federation. This is much more than a redesign. The new WDF website has been conceived as a modern international information and service platform, capable of bringing together the Federation, its Member Clubs, Partners, Judges, breeders, dog owners, researchers and enthusiasts from different countries within one clear and structured digital environment. Our objective was ambitious: to make the institutional activity of the World Dog Federation more accessible, more transparent, more useful and easier to explore. Today, that new platform is online.

A New Digital Identity for the World Dog Federation

The new website introduces a completely redesigned visual identity based on the institutional character of the WDF. A cleaner structure, modern navigation, responsive design and a new presentation of information allow visitors to immediately understand the international dimension of the Federation and access the different areas of its activity. The platform has been designed for use on:
    • desktop computers;
    • tablets;
    • smartphones;
    • large-format displays.
A dedicated Light and Dark interface also allows the public to choose the visual environment that best suits their preferences. The entire structure has been developed with an international perspective, supporting the progressive publication of content in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German and Russian. English remains the primary international language of the platform.

Discover the WDF World Network

One of the central elements of the new website is the presentation of the World Dog Federation international network. Visitors can explore the countries, national organisations and institutions that form part of the WDF community and understand how the Federation connects different cynological realities around the world. The new Members & Partners section provides a clear overview of the organisations cooperating within the Federation. Each WDF Member can be presented through a dedicated institutional profile including its:
    • official logo;
    • country;
    • national identity;
    • organisation name;
    • contact information;
    • website;
    • institutional status;
    • WDF membership information.
Official Members may also be identified through the WDF Official Member Guarantee, providing an immediate visual confirmation of their recognised status within the Federation. Partners are presented separately, allowing visitors to clearly distinguish between Federation Members and organisations cooperating with WDF through institutional or technical partnerships.

The New WDF Judges Registry

One of the most important developments is the new WDF Judges Registry. For the first time, the international judging body of the Federation can be explored through a modern and structured public registry. Each Judge may have a dedicated professional profile containing information such as:
    • photograph;
    • full name;
    • country;
    • WDF licence number;
    • qualification level;
    • authorised WDF Groups;
    • specialist disciplines;
    • professional qualifications;
    • biography;
    • institutional information.
The registry distinguishes the different judging qualifications recognised within the WDF structure, including: WDF International Federated Judges, National Judges, Sport Judges and specialist Evaluators. Visitors can therefore identify the qualifications and authorised fields of each expert with greater clarity. This represents an important step toward transparency, professional recognition and the international development of WDF judging standards.

WDF Breed Standards – Knowledge Available to Everyone

The new website also introduces an important dedicated area for WDF Breed Standards. The World Dog Federation recognises hundreds of dog breeds organised according to its 10 morpho-functional Groups, where breed identity is considered through morphology, type, structure, temperament and original function. Through the new platform, breed standards can progressively be published and consulted directly online. Each breed profile can include:
    • official breed name;
    • WDF identification code;
    • WDF Group;
    • country of origin;
    • representative image;
    • recognised aliases;
    • official breed standard;
    • multilingual versions of the standard.
The objective is to create an increasingly complete international reference resource for breeders, Judges, students and anyone interested in canine morphology and breed identity. Our breed standards are no longer information hidden inside archives: they become part of a living international digital library.

A New Institutional Documents Centre

Transparency and accessibility are essential to the development of an international Federation. For this reason, the new platform includes a dedicated Documents area. Official WDF documents can be organised, classified and published centrally, avoiding fragmented information and making institutional material easier to find. The system is designed to manage:
    • statutes;
    • regulations;
    • technical documents;
    • official procedures;
    • judging regulations;
    • Dog Show regulations;
    • scientific documentation;
    • Commission documents;
    • institutional publications;
    • technical guidelines.
A document can also be connected to specific sections of the platform, meaning that the same official publication can be made available exactly where visitors need it without unnecessary duplication.

WDF Commissions

The new website gives greater visibility to the work carried out through the WDF Commissions. These areas represent an essential component of the Federation’s institutional and technical activity. Their purpose is not simply administrative. They exist to serve cynology, supporting the development of regulations, technical knowledge, scientific cooperation, responsible breeding and international coordination. Commission pages can provide access to related documents, activities and institutional information, creating a direct connection between the Federation’s internal work and the international community.

A Completely New Dog Shows Area

The Dog Shows section has also been redesigned. The new platform provides a dedicated showcase for upcoming WDF events around the world. Event posters can be displayed together with essential information including:
    • event name;
    • date;
    • country;
    • city or location;
    • event category;
    • organising Club;
    • optional external registration or information link.
Visitors can enlarge event posters directly on the page through an integrated full-screen viewer without leaving the website. But the Dog Shows area goes much further. A dedicated Annual International Calendar allows events to be organised by month, country, Club and event type, making it easier to understand the international exhibition programme. The platform supports different levels of events, including national and international shows, CAC, CACIB, Global Dog Shows and Specialty Shows. The page also contains an extensive educational section explaining how WDF Dog Shows work, the different classes, the judging process, the role of Judges and organisers, the progression toward the Ring of Honour and the fundamental importance of animal welfare throughout every event. Official Dog Show regulations can also be accessed directly from this section.

Science and Research at the Centre of Our Future

Modern cynology cannot develop without science. For this reason, Science & Projects has become a major component of the new WDF digital platform. The Federation intends to give increasing visibility to research projects, institutes, scientific collaborations and programmes dedicated to genetics, health, behaviour, morphology, function and canine welfare. The new website creates a space where these projects can be presented not simply as announcements, but as part of a wider strategy for the future of dogs. Among the fields represented within this vision are genetic research, scientific development, canine functionality, sport, work, education and advanced cynological training.

AIDD – Artificial Intelligence Dog Database

One of the most significant technological elements connected to the World Dog Federation is AIDD – Artificial Intelligence Dog Database. The new institutional website gives AIDD a prominent place because it represents an essential component of the Federation’s digital ecosystem. AIDD goes far beyond a conventional pedigree database. It creates an international environment in which canine information can be connected across multiple areas, including:
    • pedigree and genealogy;
    • ownership;
    • identification;
    • genetic information;
    • DNA records;
    • health data;
    • temperament information;
    • working and sporting results;
    • titles and qualifications;
    • Dog Shows;
    • breeding information;
    • breeder activity;
    • Club procedures and services.
The integration between the WDF institutional platform and AIDD represents an important step toward a future in which international cynology is increasingly supported by structured, accessible and interconnected information.

World Statistics

Through the WDF digital ecosystem, visitors can also access World Statistics, offering an international perspective on the information managed through AIDD. Rather than seeing individual records in isolation, the objective is to progressively understand canine populations, registrations, genetic data and other indicators on a broader scale. Data becomes knowledge, and knowledge becomes a tool for responsible decisions.

Newsroom – The History and Future of WDF in One Place

The new WDF Newsroom has been developed as the official information centre of the Federation. It includes not only future announcements but also the historical memory of the organisation. The archive of the former WDF website has been migrated to the new platform, preserving years of institutional activity and allowing historical news to remain accessible within the new digital environment. Visitors can browse articles chronologically and search them by category or year. Individual articles can include images and multimedia content and can easily be shared through major communication channels including Facebook, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. The Newsroom will now become the central point for:
    • official announcements;
    • new WDF Members;
    • international agreements;
    • Dog Shows;
    • scientific projects;
    • institutional developments;
    • regulatory updates;
    • international activities;
    • Federation communications.
Our history remains visible while a new chapter begins.

A Platform Designed for an International Community

Behind every section of the new website there is one fundamental principle: information must be easy to reach. A Federation operating internationally generates a significant amount of information. Without the correct structure, that information risks becoming fragmented. The new WDF Platform has therefore been designed around specialised areas that communicate with one another while maintaining their own identity. Members, Judges, Breed Standards, Documents, Dog Shows, Projects and News are no longer isolated pages. They form part of a single institutional ecosystem.

Joining the World Dog Federation

The new website also provides clearer pathways for organisations interested in cooperating with WDF. Two different institutional relationships are presented: WDF Membership, for organisations seeking to become part of the Federation’s international structure; and WDF Partnership, for organisations and institutions interested in establishing structured cooperation with the Federation. This distinction allows every organisation to identify the most appropriate relationship and understand the opportunities offered by international cooperation.

Building a More Open and Accessible Cynology

The World Dog Federation believes that the future of cynology cannot depend on closed systems or inaccessible information. Knowledge must circulate. Scientific information must be shared. Breed standards must be available. Judges and their qualifications must be identifiable. Regulations must be accessible. Members must be visible. Events must be easy to discover. The history of our organisation must remain available to future generations. And technological development must serve dogs, breeders, Clubs, researchers and the entire international cynological community. This philosophy is at the heart of the new website.

Welcome to the New World Dog Federation

This new institutional platform marks another important stage in the evolution of the World Dog Federation. It brings together tradition and innovation, institutional representation and technology, international cooperation and scientific development. And this is only the beginning. New standards will continue to be published. New documents will become available. New Members and Partners will join the network. New Judges will contribute their experience. New scientific projects will be developed. New Dog Shows will connect countries and communities. And the WDF digital ecosystem will continue to grow together with AIDD – Artificial Intelligence Dog Database. We invite every Member Club, Partner, Judge, breeder, dog owner, researcher and enthusiast to explore the new platform and discover everything that the World Dog Federation is building. One international network. One shared responsibility. Science, knowledge and cooperation for the future of dogs. Welcome to the new World Dog Federation.
