WDF COLLABORATIONS

Different ways to work with one international federation.

Working with the World Dog Federation means sharing projects, ethics, professional standards and a common way of thinking about the future of cynology. Cooperation can begin with reciprocal recognition, develop into an official partnership, or become full national representation through WDF Membership.

A SHARED TECHNICAL VISION

Collaboration means sharing a real canine project.

WDF cooperation is not based on the exchange of logos alone. It is built around documented activities, technical rules, professional responsibility and respect for the identity and welfare of the dog.

The World Dog Federation works on genetic protection of canine breeds, responsible selection, hereditary-disease controls, biological identity and DNA, temperament testing, work and functional selection, sport and utility trials, professional education, canine-event regulations and international traceability.

WDF has structured its own morpho-functional groups for canine breeds, its official World Dog Federation breed standards, technical regulations for Dog Shows, work, sport and utility activities, and a digital infrastructure designed to connect genealogical, health, genetic, event and professional data. These projects and documents are progressively visible throughout the official WDF website and its digital systems.

THREE COLLABORATION PATHWAYS

Choose the level of cooperation that fits your organization.

There are different ways to establish a relationship with WDF. Full Membership is the most complete institutional pathway, but reciprocal recognition and partnership allow serious organizations to begin cooperating at a level appropriate to their structure and objectives.

01
RECIPROCAL RECOGNITION

Recognition between independent canine organizations.

This is the simplest structured way to begin a relationship with the World Dog Federation. The candidate organization asks to be included among recognized clubs and commits to recognizing valid WDF certifications issued by the national organizations operating within the WDF system.

In return, the World Dog Federation may recognize and record eligible documentation issued by that organization after examining its documents, registration system and the way in which official certificates are produced. The purpose of this verification is to protect the effectiveness and credibility of reciprocal recognition.

  • Reciprocal documentary recognition.
  • Institutional verification of the applicant organization.
  • No national territorial exclusivity.
  • Independent legal and operational identity is maintained.
02
OFFICIAL PARTNERSHIP

A direct collaborative relationship with WDF.

An official partnership goes beyond simple recognition. It establishes a continuing relationship based on reciprocal recognition, technical cooperation, communication and the possibility of developing agreed activities together.

Subject to prior written agreement, a WDF Partner may cooperate in the organization of selected canine events in its country with WDF support, display authorized WDF emblems and participate in projects involving WDF titles, technical programmes or international initiatives.

Partnership does not create territorial exclusivity. More than one organization in the same country may collaborate directly with the World Dog Federation when the relationships are compatible with WDF rules and agreements.

  • Reciprocal recognition and direct cooperation.
  • Possibility of agreed WDF-supported activities and events.
  • Use of WDF identity only where specifically authorized.
  • No territorial exclusivity.
03
ACTIVE WDF MEMBERSHIP

Full national representation of the World Dog Federation.

Membership is the pathway WDF considers the most complete. Through a formal Membership Agreement, the national club becomes the recognized WDF representative in its country and enters the Federation as an active member of the international system.

The member receives territorial exclusivity for national representation in accordance with the Membership Agreement. Subject to existing commitments and applicable agreements, direct WDF collaborations with other organizations in that territory may be reviewed or concluded at the member's request so that national representation remains clear and coherent.

Active membership also gives the national organization access to the complete A.I.D.D. management ecosystem made available by WDF: membership and secretariat administration, canine identification, genealogical registry, pedigree and document management, breeding records, events, registrations, results, health and genetic information, notifications and the wider digital WDF infrastructure.

  • Exclusive national representation under the Membership Agreement.
  • Full participation in the institutional WDF network.
  • Access to the A.I.D.D. digital management system and WDF operational package.
  • Stronger integration of regulations, technical programmes, events and international projects.

START THE CONVERSATION

Request a video consultation with WDF representatives.

If your organization wants to enter the WDF network, send a complete institutional presentation and request a video call. The clearer the documentation, the easier it is for the Federation to evaluate the most appropriate cooperation pathway.

For reciprocal recognition without a full partnership, use the Partnership / Cooperation request and clearly state “Reciprocal Recognition” in your message.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Choose your application pathway.

Both requests go directly to the World Dog Federation institutional contact. Attach the required documents and ask to schedule your introductory video call.
