WDF end-of-year letter to members

Dear colleague,
I wanted to take advantage of this for the closing of the year 2023 to send you this information which you will find pleasantly useful, it is now 6 years since the WDF World Canine Science Federation genetic protection project was made public, and has obtained the best consensus on the international scene, in fact today numerous clubs are applying the technical protection standards of the WDF even in Kennel Clubs not belonging to the same, in some states even in Kennel Club FCI they are adapting having realized the effectiveness of the genetic protection project and the results it brings in the short and long term time.
Only 2 years have passed since the registration of the WDF World Dog Federation federation statute, and the results of global expansion advise us that soon there will be a very fast growth peak, in fact to date the WDF has 17 Kennel Clubs registered as Members and representatives WDF officials in their country, 36 Kennel Clubs that have a partnership of mutual recognition of the certifications issued by the WDF system, and a complete recognition of expansion valid in the 5 continents where we are present, this means that we are currently the largest organization in the world immediately after the FCI, these are real and evident data.
If all this has been possible it is also thanks to the members, who are our strengths as representatives of our system in their own state, thanks to the partner Kennel Clubs who willingly display our federation emblems and regularly practice cultural exchange of both expert judges and of certifications, thanks to the breeders registered in the WDF registers who diligently follow the rules and technical standards of the federation’s registers.
Today we boast several records as pioneers of cynological innovation, in fact we are the very first system to have made mandatory a check sheet for the adaptability of canine subjects to reproduction, the first to have made it mandatory to deposit DNA first for subjects who they go into breeding without distinction, and subsequently for the puppies born before the delivery of the Pedigree certificates, we have established numerous international collaborations with the largest genetics centers in the world so as to be the pioneers in genetic selection, but the absolute primacy is that which makes us unique as a category, it is our AID 2.0 International database, directly shared, in fact we are currently the only active system that uses a shared database for registration and issuing certificates for data protection with a global database under the control constant and vigilance of the World Dog Federation, this gives credibility and awareness of an absolute guarantee to all the Kennel Clubs that are active with the system.
Now we have reached the end of this year which has given us numerous emotions and we are already ready to face another one, the exhibition calendars are already public and online from December 15th, another organizational and distinctive pride of professionalism.
There will be a series of new features this year that you will find fantastically innovative, we need your constant support to continue our mission together because as you well know our mission is called Healthy Cinofilia and together as a family we will succeed.
WDF Director
